Former Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan incurred the wrath of Indians after he mocked Virat Kohli for scoring the slowest century of the Indian Premier League's (IPL) history.

The 35-year-old, who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) scored 72-ball 113* against Rajasthan Royals and reached to the three-figure mark on the 67th ball of his innings.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Junaid trolled Kohli, congratulating him on the undesired feat, with Kohli taking a joint-record of 67 deliveries to bring up his century, equalling former RCBian Manish Pandey's record against the now-defunct Deccan Chargers, way back in 2009.

Junaid's opinion didn't go well with Indians fans, who were quick to react in the comments.

Meanwhile, Pakistan fans recalled Junaid's record against Kohli in defense where the Pakistan pacer has dominated the latter in ODIs, dismissing him thrice.

It must be noted Kohli wrote his name in the history books after becoming just the first player to complete 7,500 runs.

He has now completed 7,500 runs in IPL in his 242nd innings, which is the most by any batter in the tournament’s history. The second on the list is another Indian, Shikhar Dhawan, who has 6755 runs in 221 matches.

Most runs in IPL history

Virat Kohli — 7575 runs in 242 innings

Shikhar Dhawan — 6755 runs in 220 innings

David Warner — 6545 runs in 180 innings

Rohit Sharma — 6280 runs in 246 innings

Suresh Raina — 5528 runs in 208 innings

Kohli looked the old version of himself during the match against RR as the 35-year-old scored his first century of IPL 2024, and his eighth overall, which is the most in the tournament's history.
